These Terms will be applied fully and affect your submission to the I Love Shelties Annual 2024. By submitting, you agreed to accept all terms and conditions written here. You must not submit if you disagree with any of these Book Standard Terms and Conditions.
The I Love Shelties Annual 2024
The I Love Shelties Annual 2024, “The Annual” is being published by Tecassia Publishing “The Publisher” in conjunction with I Love Shelties with an intended publication in September-October 2023. A portion of the proceeds of the book will be donated to a charity in the United Kingdom (TBA). In these Book Standard Terms and Conditions, “Your Submission” shall mean any text or images that you submit to The Publisher.
Submissions
The deadline for submissions is Tuesday 30th May 2023. Any submissions after this date will not be considered for entry in the annual.
There is no fee to pay for Your Submission.
Contributors will be informed if Your Submission has been successful by late summer 2023. If you have not heard from Tecassia Publishing by this date then, unfortunately, your submission has not been successful at this time. It is the responsibility of the contributor to ensure that the email address of Tecassia (info@tecassia.com) is added to their contacts or whitelist or that they check their junk mail to ensure they have not missed any emails from the publisher.
As the proceeds are being donated to charity, it is the responsibility of the contributor to purchase their own copy of The Annual should they wish and The Publisher will not be providing complimentary copies.
Intellectual Property Rights
By sending Your Submission, you grant I Love Shelties and The Publisher a non-exclusive, worldwide irrevocable, sub-licensable license to use, reproduce, adapt, publish, translate and distribute it in the 2024 Annual and in any media or advertising related to the publication or promotion of the book.
Your Submission must be your own and must not be invading any third-party’s rights. You must have permission from any photographer or models in any images in Your Submission before you send them. I Love Shelties and The Publisher reserves the right to remove any of Your Submission from The Annual at any time without notice.
You will retain the copyright to any text or images in Your Submission.
Your Contact Details
By sending Your Submission to The Publisher for inclusion in The Annual, you agree that The Publisher will contact you with relevant information regarding the publication of The Annual and subsequent editions and you understand that you can unsubscribe at any time.
Restrictions
You are specifically restricted from all of the following:
- publishing any of The Annual material in any other media;
- selling, sublicensing and/or otherwise commercialising any of The Annual material;
- publicly performing and/or showing any of The Annual material;
- using The Annual in any way that is or may be damaging to The Annual;
- using The Annual in any way that impacts user access to The Annual;
- using The Annual contrary to applicable laws and regulations, or in any way may cause harm to The Annual, or to any person or business entity;
- using The Annual to engage in any advertising or marketing.

No warranties
The Annual is provided “as is,” with all faults, and I Love Shelties and The Publisher express no representations or warranties, of any kind related to The Annual or the materials contained in The Annual. Also, nothing contained in The Annual shall be interpreted as advising you.
Limitation of liability
In no event shall I Love Shelties, The Publisher, nor any of its officers, directors and employees, shall be held liable for anything arising out of or in any way connected with your inclusion in The Annual whether such liability is under contract. I Love Shelties, and The Publisher including its officers, directors and employees shall not be held liable for any indirect, consequential or special liability arising out of or in any way related to your inclusion in The Annual.
Indemnification
You hereby indemnify to the fullest extent I Love Shelties and The Publisher from and against any and/or all liabilities, costs, demands, causes of action, damages and expenses arising in any way related to your breach of any of the provisions of these Terms.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid under any applicable law, such provisions shall be deleted without affecting the remaining provisions herein.
Variation of Terms
I Love Shelties and The Publisher is permitted to revise these Terms at any time as it sees fit, and by submitting to The Annual you are expected to review these Terms on a regular basis.
Assignment
The I Love Shelties and The Publisher are allowed to assign, transfer, and subcontract its rights and/or obligations under these Terms without any notification. However, you are not allowed to assign, transfer, or subcontract any of your rights and/or obligations under these Terms.
Entire Agreement
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between I Love Shelties, The Publisher and you in relation to your submission and inclusion in The Annual, and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These terms are being delivered in and shall be governed, construed, enforced, and interpreted by, though, and under, the laws of the UK, excluding conflict of law principles that would cause the application of laws of another jurisdiction.
